Rome - Hotel Cicerone, view north from our fourth-floor room. Exterior temperature was in the upper nineties (Fahrenheit) with high humidity. Next time I'll visit in spring or fall - not the first two weeks in August! Elena - our tour guide - tried to convince us that the heat was just an "impression".

Rome - Called a "Smart Car" because of the gas mileage and small parking size, or because when you're in an accident you say, "Ouch! That smarts!"

Rome - Scooters everywhere in every city.

Rome - Attractive girls everywhere I looked. On the last day of the tour, I found out that the ratio of females to males in Italy is six to one! There are more girl babies born every year. That's a lot of Capri pants!
